As we all know Ghana’s parliament has been hit by COVID-19 crisis after the latest set of results indicated that a number of them have tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease.
In reaction to this, the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Joseph Osei Owusu, had cautioned the MPs who had contracted the COVID-19 to stay away from parliament.
In addition to him, the Speaker of the house, Alban Bagbin has threatened to publicise names of those who tested positive but still come into the Chamber.
In reaction to the Speaker’s threat, some members of parliament argued that the speaker has no right to make public their confidential health records.
