Being the only indigenous car manufacturing company in Ghana, the Katanka group has been lauded by many Ghanaians for their efforts to raise the Ghanaian flag over the last number of years.
A section of Ghanaians have however lambasted successive governments for failing to give massive support to the Kantaka group as they believe that would go a long way to benefit Ghanaians. At long last, the plea of Ghanaians seem to have been answered.
The finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta disclosed during his presentation of the mid-year budget review in parliament that, government has granted the local car manufacturer/assembler, Kantanka a license to proceed with official operation.
In addition to this license, the company of the locally celebrated car producer, Kantanka is expected to benefit from the set incentives under the Ghana Automotive Manufacturing Development Policy.
