Ken Ofori-Attah Says $100 Million Coronavirus Money Has Arrived

The Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Attah has confirmed the $100 million funds from the World Bank has hit the nation’s accounts.

He made this announcement earlier today, at a briefing in Parliament on the effects of the pandemic on Ghana’s economy, The Ghana Report says.

The money is meant to expand infrastructure and purchase materials and equipment to fight the global pandemic and public education.

“Mr Speaker, contrary to the views of some sceptics that the money is not available, I wish to assure you that the money has been secured,” Mr Ken Ofori-Attah told the house.

So far, Ghana has recorded 152 confirmed cases, 5 deaths and 2 recoveries.
