Ghana Set To Legalize Weed, Ganja Farmers Express Massive Joy

Ghana has begun the process of obtaining a license to produce or cultivate Indian hemp (weed).

In a report submitted by Graphiconline.com, the Narcotics Control Commission’s Head of Communications and Media Relations, Francis Opoku Amoah, indicated that cannabis production might be legalized in Ghana very soon.

According to him, the commission is in the process of submitting to Parliament a Legislative Instrument (LI) outlining how to qualify for a cannabis cultivation license.

Some African nations voted in 2020, through national law, to allow the production and export of cannabis for medicinal and scientific uses.
