Former Miss World Kenya and Kenya’s first woman pilot Gaudentia Aura is dead. Aura breathed her last on Monday, February 24 night, according to her family.
Her sister Celestine Aura took to her Facebook page to mourn the former model and singer. She said that the family was still in disbelief unable to come to terms with the death of Aura.
Aura was not only the first Kenyan model to have her face appear in Lux soap wrappers and billboards but also the first Kenyan woman pilot.
Before her death, she was a member of friends church Ngong road. Friends and relatives mourned her as a brainy woman who never shied from pursuing her dreams.
