Lanet Umoja location chief Francis Kariuki, popularly known as the ‘tweeting chief’, is dead.

According to The Nation, his son Ken Kariuki has confirmed that his father died on Wednesday while receiving treatment at the Nakuru Level Five Hospital.

The tech savvy village chief was known for using social media to facilitate his functions.

On his bio, the chief said he was using Twitter as a tool for community policing, neighborhood watch & crime-reporting activities.
