Omar Lali To Be Charged With Tecra Muiga’s Murder

A Lamu Court is set to charge the boyfriend to the departed Keroche heiress Tecra Muigai, Omar Lali with her murder.

According to the prosecution, the evidence gathered during the investigations revealed that Tecra’s death was no accident.

Lali who was sharing an apartment in Lamu with the victim and reported to have been present when she allegedly fell in the bathroom of their house was the prime suspect.

According to the leading investigative team on the matter, they picked up inconsistencies in Lali’s version of of how Tecra died.

Reports first indicate that Lali reported that Tecra fell off the stairs at their Shela apartment.

However, he later on changed his statement saying she tipped and fell in the bathroom.

Unfortunately, none of those versions of events were consistent with the accounts given by the response team that rushed the victim to the hospital.

Tecra’s family chartered a chopper that airlifted her from Lamu to Nairobi for treatment. She succumbed to the injuries.

Until her death, Tecra was the director of strategy and innovation at her family’s firm, Keroche Breweries.

Lali’s lawyers rubbished the claims that the couple had had an argument prior to the accident.

Lali who was arrested on Monday will be arraigned at the Garsen Law Courts on Tuesday, July 14.
