NPP Primaries: Disappointed Candidate Takes Back 250 Bicycles He Shared Among Delegates

Published on

An aspiring candidate for the Assin North constituency in the just-ended NPP parliamentary primaries has stormed houses of delegates to take back his bicycles.

According to reports, Eric Amankwah Blay had shared 250 bicycles and an undisclosed amount of money among delegates to endorse his candidature.

Speaking to Adom News’ Amoh, the disappointed candidate said the motive behind the distribution of the bicycles was for campaign purposes.

He said for that matter, failure to endorse his candidature means they [the delegates] don’t like the bicycle.

“I’m not taking back the money but as for the bicycles, I need them back,” he added.

Some party delegates and polling station executives who have their bicycles taken back said they were very disappointed.

Reacting to the issue, the Assin North Constituency NPP secretary, Emmanuel Asamoah said the party leadership will meet Mr Blay to address the issue.
