News update from Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) today is that five (5) new cases have been reported, totaling the entire number of reported cases to be eight (8).
First case of the virus which was reported, an Italian was the carrier and the negligence of the government allowed the entry. Subsequently, another case followed and recently another case was reported totaling the number of cases to be “three” as at then.
.The news was announced via NCDC twitter page, apparently all new cases had a travel history to UK/US.
In the tweet made, it states thus;
@Fmohnigeria has announced 5 new cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria bringing the total number confirmed cases in Nigeria to 8
All 5 cases had a travel history to the UK/USA
