A Tennessee man has been blacklisted on Amazon for hoarding and jacking the prices of hand sanitizer as the world continues to search in vain.
Colvin set off to clean all shops of hand sanitizer in Chattanooga, Tennessee and some parts of Kentucky with his truck and listed the items online.
He sold each bottle of sanitizer at $8 to $70, multiple times higher than what he had bought them for.
eBay followed suit with stricter measures prohibiting those who sell face masks and hand sanitizers on the site.
“It’s been a huge amount of whiplash,” he said. “From being in a situation where what I’ve got coming and going could potentially put my family in a really good place financially to ‘What the heck am I going to do with all of this?’”
Now he has 17,700 bottles with him with nowhere to sell them.
New update coming in is that Matt has decided to donate the bottles of hand sanitizer as he faces investigation on charges of price gouging.
