The Free SHS policy rolled out by the incumbent NPP government has been touted to be one of the best policies to be eer rolled out by any Ghanaian government.
Despite its setbacks, the policy has proven to stand the test of time since its implementation as all SHS students across the country have access to free education.
It has however been normally criticized by some people particularly from the camp of the National Democratic Congress indicating that it’s quality is questionable.
In a recent development, Franklin Cudjoe has questioned if the freebies shared ahead of the just-ended election played a role in how disrespectful SHS students in the Ashanti Region have become towards their parents.
According to the president of IMANI Ghana, he has picked up information from the region that children of school-going age no longer respect their parents because of the free education policy initiated by NPP’s Akufo Addo.
