The general secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketia has revealed that the member of Parliament for Tema West, Carlos Ahenkorah chewed two ballot papers that were in favour of Alban Bagbin.
He made this revelation during a press conference held by the NDC in Accra.
On Thursday 7th January, there was a need for an election of the Speaker of Parliament for the 8th Parliament. Parliamentarians voted but during the counting of the ballot papers, Carlos Ahenkorah snatched the ballot papers and bolted with it.
According the NDC’s general secretary, Carlos Ahenkorah chewed two ballot papers that were for Alban Bagbin who eventually was elected by the house.
