In an exclusive interview with Tim Westwood, rapper Sarkodie said that, while he enjoys drill music, he does not believe he can perform it with the same be]neryg as the Kumierca guys.
He likes the sound and appreciates the effort the new artists are putting in to popularize the drill thingy, but he believes it is not his thing.
Sarkodie went on to say that, while he can rap over the drill beat, he does not believe he can communicate all of his ideas and feelings as well as he should.
‘I love drill music, I love to listen to it. The stuff they talk about suit the genre. People push me to do drill music which I can since I rap. But I feel, the authentic drill has a message that I like but cannot relate to talking about it,”
He made mention of Yaw Tog, Kofi Jamar and Amerado…commending them for their work so far and how far they have come as Kumerica artistes.
