Ruth Matete is done with religion kabisa.
In a long post on Facebook, the former Tusker Project Fame winner accused her friends and family in the gospel industry of abandoning her when she needed them the most.
This comes just months after she was acquitted of being party to her hubby’s death.
Ruth Matete’s late husband, Blessed John Olakami Apewajoye, died at Kenyatta National Hospital in April from burns sustained when a gas cylinder exploded at their home in Athi River.
And now, Matete says she does not want anything to do with religion lamenting that religious people close to her turned against her when she needed them the most.
“Am so done with fake people!! Done with religion!! Thank God, that God is not a christian. He is not religious. Oh! If it had not been for the Lord, who was always on my side. The enemy would have swallowed me. I would have drowned in the waters. But my soul has found an escape. I have escaped like a bird from the snare of the Fowler.”
