Jacque Maribe & I Don’t Talk, We Broke Up While In Jail- Jowie Irungu

Joseph Irungu alias Jowie has revealed that he and Jacque Maribe don’t talk anymore and that they broke up while he was in jail.

The duo are both suspects in the murder of late businesswoman Monica Kimani.

Monica was found dead in a bathtub in her house in Nairobi’s Kilimani suburb back in 2018.

Speaking to Jalango on his YouTube show, Bonga na Jalas, he revealed that  he and Maribe talked things over before letting go.

“I decided not to (keep in touch) as in ile tuu we broke up while I was still inside, we talked and let this go,” the father of one revealed.

He added that he is contented with the way things are between him and the journalist and that he supports her as he watches Jacque’s show “The Hot Seat.”

“I’m so content we (me and Jacque) don’t talk, only check-up once in a blue moon.”

According to Jowie, he now has a wife, Ella, who also tops up as his manager.

The singer says he is grateful to his wife as well as his parents for standing by him during his hour of need while he was imprisoned.

Following his release from Kamiti Prison, Jowie has made a comeback with his debut gospel song titled “Nishikilie.”

Nishikilie premiered on his YouTube channel that had just about 550 subscribers.

The video features a little girl he has disclosed that is his daughter.

Sources indicate that Jowie was a member of a band that entertained revellers in Naivasha and Nakuru towns, where he was born and raised.

According to a neighbour in Lanet, where Jowie’s parents live:

“He was such an amazing young man who was talented in music and had superb vocals. I was shocked when I saw his photograph in the newspapers as the main suspect in the Kilimani murder.”
