I Am A Strong Woman; I Will Fight This – Catherine Kasavuli Gives Health Update

Veteran media personality Catherine Kasavuli has assured the public that she is doing well and getting ready for a second medical procedure as she battles cervical cancer.

The KBC prime-time news anchor, who is currently in hospital, also thanked Kenyans of goodwill who have been showing her love during this trying moment.

“Thank you to everyone who has visited, donated their blood, sent prayers and to everyone who has been contributing financially…May God never leave you.

“I am a strong woman. I know I will fight this. I am currently getting ready for a 2nd phase procedure,” she wrote.

In a separate post, the former KTN news anchor also shared lessons she has learnt in recent months, emphasizing the importance of family.

Kasavuli also asked her followers to be prayerful and treasure their bodies.“Your family is all you got at the end of the day, make peace with them, try to be in good books with them even if you feel otherwise.

“Always depend on your Higher Power, pray for as much as you can, at least while you have the strength,” she wrote.

“If you have at least two friends or colleagues you can always count on, appreciate them. They’re very rare .”

Last week, KBC Managing Director Samuel Maina informed the public that Kasavuli was admitted to Kenyatta National Hospital private wing and urged well-wishers to donate blood.

The post was shared widely as Kenyans sent messages of hope to the newscaster who was the first anchor to host a live broadcast on KTN in 1990.
