WAEC Denies Leakage Of 2020 Questions And Call For Calm

The West African Senior School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) has began in spite of the novel coronavirus. The Examinations began on the 20th of July across the nation.

However, prior to the commencement of the first theory paper, Integrated Science, reports circulating around indicate that the paper has been leaked.

The West African Examination Council has however denied reports that the 2020 WASSCE Integrated Science Paper 1 and 2 scheduled to be taken on Monday, August 3, 2020, has been leaked.

In a statement signed by the Head of Public Affairs at WAEC, Mrs. Agnes Teye-Cudjoe, it said:

“The Council wishes to allay the fears of all stakeholders especially candidates about the alleged leakage of the Papers.”

“scrutiny of the images being shared on social media indicates once again, the activities of certain individuals mainly operators of rogue websites and WhatsApp groups aimed at leading candidates astray and discrediting the Council,” it stated.

The Council indicated that it was working meticulously with BNI, CID and the National Security to make sure everything is under control and the activities of nefarious groups are curtailed.
