GHBase.com reported a few weeks ago that a 17-year old girl was punished by policemen for defying the lockdown order with her two other friends.

According to the girl, she was going to visit her boyfriend hence asked her two friends to go with her when the unfortunate happened.

UTV news reported the story first and followed by visiting the homes of these young girls to ask their parents why they had to leave them to be on their own resulting in their punishment.

It was then discovered that the 17-year-old girl lives in a small kiosk with her mum, step-father, and 6 other siblings.

This touched the hearts of many Ghanaians resulting in several people contributing to the welfare of the young girl, her family, and her two other friends.

According to the video posted by UTV on Instagram, the three girls had cash gifts with the 17-year-old getting Ghc7,500 in addition to several foodstuffs, a refrigerator & a 43″ TV from KAB FAM Ghana Ltd. MP for Ablekuma North Hon. Nana Akua Afriyie also rented out a chamber and hall apartment for this young lady and her family.

Their lives have turned around within a twinkle of an eye; this is where we say good things come from bad situations. If she had not left home that day to go visit her boyfriend, she wouldn’t have encountered this breakthrough with her family.
