Video Drops As World’s Aircraft Lands In Ghana (Video)

According to officials at the airport, the Antonov An-225 Mriya landed at the Kotoka International Aiport on July 7, 2021, around 4 pm from Leipzig, Germany.

The Antonov An-225 Mriya is a six-engine aircraft and only two of such aircraft have been built so far. The arrival of the aircraft at Kotoka clearly signifies the ever readiness of the airport to host all kinds of planes in the world.

A piece of brief information on the Antonov An-225 Mriya is that it is a strategic airlift cargo aircraft that was designed by the Antonov Design Bureau in the Ukrainian SSR within the Soviet Union during the 1980s.

It is powered by six turbofan engines and is the heaviest aircraft ever built, with a maximum takeoff weight of 640 tonnes.
