A private liberal arts college in Utah has announced an entire class on porn. The students will “watch pornographic films together” as part of the class.
The class is titled “Film 300O Porn,” and according to the college website, “hardcore pornography” is more popular than “Sunday night football.”
“Hardcore pornography is as American as apple pie and more popular than Sunday night football. Our approach to this billion-dollar industry is a cultural phenomenon that reflects and reinforces sexual inequalities (but holds the potential to challenge sexual and gender norms) and as an art form that requires serious contemplation,” the course description states.
According to the description, the class has been designed so that students can discuss the sexualization of race, class, and gender.

“We will watch pornographic films together and discuss the sexualization of race, class, and gender and as an experimental, radical art form,” the description states.
The college’s website states that students can receive two credits for taking the course.
Ever since the college was announced, the college has received mixed reactions on social media attention.
