Ursula Owusu Endorses Hawa Koomson’s Act Of Shooting In Public

Ghanaian Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, Madam Hawa Koomson caused a massive commotion after she opened fire in public space after being allegedly attacked by thugs.

This action of hers attracted a lot of criticisms from the general public who bashed her for endangering public lives.

However, it seems not everyone is at loggerheads with the MP for her actions. Minister of Communications, Madam Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has backed the firing of arms by Madam Hawa Koomson at a registration centre.

In a tweet, Ursula Owusu Ekuful recounted an event that transpired in 2012, where according to her, she was attacked by some NDC supporters at Odododiodio, a constituency in Greater Accra, but failed to protect herself because she had no gun at the time.

“I stand with Hawa Koomson. If I had a gun on me in April 2012 when NDC sponsored thugs attacked me in Odododiodio, I would have shot them to protect myself. I didn’t and the rest is history. She had the right to protect herself if she felt threatened, she tweeted.
