Two KBC Journalists Test Positive For Coronavirus

Two staff members at Kenya Broadcasting Channel (KBC) have tested positive for Covid-19.

In a press statement released on Monday, managing director Naim Bilal said that while appropriate protocols have been activated to prevent infection from the affected staff…

Employees should fully comply with all government and corporate regulations on Covid-19.

He said:

“The situation calls for enhanced personal responsibility within and outside Broadcasting House (BH) to protect ourselves, colleagues, families and others.”

“Management advises those that may feel unwell to seek medical attention. Those who may have come into contact with the affected staff are advised to test for Covid-19 and/or self-isolate,”

the MD concluded.

On Saturday, Sarova Stanley hotel temporarily closed its Thorn Tree Café after two employees tested positive for the coronavirus.

The hotel said the two employees are in a stable condition and in isolation.

Kenya’s coronavirus cases as at Sunday were 7,886, with 2,287 recoveries and 160 deaths.
