Two girls were on Thursday evening arrested while trying to sneak 17 rolls of bhang to a suspect who was being held at Kianyaga police station in Kirinyaga.

According to Citizen Digital, the two female suspects, Fridah Njeri and Doreen Wambui aged 18 and 22 years respectively were visiting James Muriithi who was arrested for peddling bhang.

Police officers said the two were arrested before they handed over a vacuum flask to suspect.

Officers forced them to open up the flask in which the rolls of bhang had been stashed out of sight.

One of the suspects told the officers that Muriithi had told them he was unwell as he had not smoked bhang for over two days.

“He asked us to use the method saying he feels unwell as he has not smoked in over two days,”

Wambui told the officers.

The two are currently in lawful custody awaiting their arraignment in court.
