Two Brothers In Court Over Damaged Property, Threats To Kill Their Uncle

Two brothers have appeared in court after they allegedly damaged property and threatened to kill their uncle who hosts them at his house in Eastleigh.

Mohammed Ahmed Hashi and Kysi Ahmed Hashi were charged with malicious vandalizing of their said uncle’s property estimated to be worth over Ksh10,000 in a dramatic incident that erruoted on July 17.

Sources indicate that that the damaged property includes broken windows and a wardrobe.

Appearing before magistrate Angelo Kithinji at the Makadara Law Courts, they pleaded guilty to the charges.

However, the Hashi brothers denied charges that they threatened to kill their uncle on the same day during the incident.

According to the complainant’s report, the accused were armed with a knife and a broken piece of glass, threatening to kill him.

Sources indicate that the accused damaged the property to provoke their uncle into a fight although he restrained himself from such.

He then called the police who arrived at the scene and took the two into custody.

The accused persons were granted a cash bail of Ksh100,000.

The case is scheduled for the first hearing on October 13, 2020.
