US Elections: Trump Claims That Votes Are Being Stolen From Him

President Trump is angry because election officials are still counting votes and so what does he do?

He claims – without evidence- that “they” are stealing the election.

“We are up BIG, but they are trying to STEAL the Election. We will never let them do it. Votes cannot be cast after the Polls are closed!” Trump tweeted late Tuesday evening.

Twitter later muted Trump’s baseless claim, correctly so.

We knew Trump would try to pull something like this but that’s still unbelievably irresponsible.

Tuesday evening is turning out to be exactly as predicted. No winner had been declared as of 11 p.m. Arizona time.

Why? because neither Trump nor his Democratic rival, Joe Biden, had secured the necessary 270 electoral votes to win the presidency.

Trump apparently was furious with Fox News because his favorite TV network called Arizona for Biden. That led to Arizona Republican Gov. Doug Ducey to urge caution against calling the state until all votes are counted.

“It’s far too early to call the election in Arizona. Election Day votes are not fully reported, and we haven’t even started to count early ballots dropped off at the polls. In AZ, we protected Election Day. Let’s count the votes — all the votes — before making declarations,” Ducey tweeted.

That’s the most sensible thing Ducey has said lately.

Biden, meanwhile, responded to Trump saying only voters have a say .

Thank God Trump doesn’t get to decide who wins. Voters do.
