They Learnt It From Gachagua – Ole Kina Tells NTSA over Arrested Touts

Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina has told off the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) for arresting two touts who were on camera hanging dangerously on a moving matatu.

In a statement on Monday, October 3, the lawmaker claimed that the touts learnt the skill from Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Ledama alleged that it was double standards for the transport and safety authority to arrest the touts and leave the DP.

“Now tell me my good friends NTSA why should you arrest a Matatu Driver and two Conductors for hanging on a moving matatu yet they learnt from the second in Command Mr. Riggy G himself Rigathi Gachagua?? Stop your double standards men! Cut them some slack!” Ledama said.

His remarks come after Gachagua was last month captured on camera hanging onto a moving vehicle as he waved at nearby residents in Kisumu.

The second in command was leaving the Kenya Music Festival Gala held in Kisumu Girls High School, an occasion he presided over.

Meanwhile, the National Police Service (NPS) said that the two touts and a driver arrested on Monday, October 3, for hanging onto a matatu will be arraigned in court.

“Following a video that went viral on social media depicting two bus conductors dangerously displaying acrobatic antics on a moving public service vehicle, we wish to inform the public that the suspects including the bus driver have since been arrested and are in custody,” NPS stated
