A website collecting donations to ‘send Putin to Jupiter’ has already pulled in a whopping $2 million.
The website is calling for $100 million (£76.6 million) to ‘help us build a rocket that will send a bloody dictator far far away’.
It goes on:
“100 [million] good citizens of the Earth can send the one Evil to Jupiter.
“Why Jupiter? It is a gas giant and the largest planet in the solar system.”
Fair enough.
So far, the website has raised $2,120,027, (£1,625,435) and that amount is climbing. However, rather than blasting Putin off into space, the money will actually go to much better use – helping the people of Ukraine.
A note at the top of the page reads:
“The collected funds will be used to help Armed forces of Ukraine and rebuild the destroyed infrastructure of Ukraine.”
The page appears to have been created by the Ukrainian government – Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov shared the link with his 250,000 followers on Monday.
Fedorov sent a tweet containing the link to Tesla billionaire Elon Musk in response to him challenging Putin to ‘single combat’, writing:
“We can send him to Jupiter, just in case.”

As you can imagine, the post was quickly flooded with responses from social media users, with one asking: “And what has Jupiter done to anyone to deserve this exactly?”
Another person commented:
“Support the idea. We could sell the yacht of oligarchs and use the money to build them a rocket.”
