Shut Up, You Don’t Know Economics Metro Tv Presenter Blasts Nana Aba For Joining #fixthecountry Campaign

Paul Adom-Otchere, host of the Good Evening Ghana show on Metro TV, has responded harshly to Nana Aba Anamoah and all those campaigning with the hashtag #FixTheCountry.

Nana Aba Anamoah and other government opponents, he believes, should study economics before attempting to mobilize Ghanaians for reform.

This comes in the aftermath of a social media movement called #FixTheCountry, in which disgruntled Ghanaians are pleading with their politicians and duty bearers to address the pressing issues confronting the citizenry.

Not long after that, Paul Adom Otchere, a journalist who has evolved into a political communicator, announced on Twitter his intention to address the #FixTheCountry movement that had taken over social media on his show.

Sensing the hypocritical character and temperament of the once-revered Paul Adom-Otchere, Nana Aba Anamaoh charged him with refraining from licking politicians’ boots and speaking truth to power.

She encouraged Paul to avoid being a sycophant about Ghanaians‘ plights and support critical journalism, in which he speaks the facts regardless of which party is in control.

“For once, be brave and tell this administration led by @NAkufoAddo to #FixTheCountry and stop dragging others in. Is John Mahama our President? CSOs, Media? Did we elect them? Stop this life!!”

This obviously rubbed Paul Adom Otchere the wrong way in a reply that was more in defence of the government said Nana Aba Anamoah needs to shut up if she does not know anything about COVID Economics.

According to his point, the COVID pandemic has taken a toll on the economy and has resulted in some degree of misery while Ghanaians need to be circumspect and rational in their critiques and demands of the government.

The straw that broke the camel’s back, however, was Paul Adom-belief Otchere’s that Nana Aba Anamaoh cannot tell him what to do – whether to oppose the government and join the #FixTheCountry movement or not.
