Ruth Odinga Advices Women To Deny Partners Their Conjugal Rights If They Fail To Show Voter’s Card

Ruth Odinga, Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Raila Odinga’s sister has advised Nyanza women to deny their partner conjugal rights if they have not registered as voters.

Ruth Odinga said that a woman is the one who knows if her husband is registered or not, adding that women know a lot of secrets concerning their husband.

Speaking to women at her Kisumu home on Sunday, January 24, the former county governor noted that she decided to engage women more in her campaigns ahead of the August election because their power is unmatched when it comes to influencing.

Ruth observed that women are aware their husbands do not have voter’s cards despite their chest-thumping in public.

The politicians reiterated that women are the ones who know where votes are and how to woe voters.

“I am using you, women, because you know these things, you where votes are and even how to get them. You women even know your husbands lie that they are registered as voters yet they are not. So that is why I am telling you today don’t give it to him if he does produce his voter’s card,” she said.

Raila’s younger sister, Ruth, who is vying for Kisumu gubernatorial seat, said that it was high time for the women to wake up and go for the political seats.
