Russian COVID-19 Vaccine To Be Launched In Mid-August

A new report on the successful Russian COVID-19 vaccine human trials on July 12 indicates that it will be launched in mid-August.

According to Alexander Gintsburg of the country’s Gamalei National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology which is responsible for developing and testing the vaccine, the vaccine is awaiting to “enter civil circulation” between August 12 and August 14.

At the time of the big announcement to reveal the successful trials, the Russian media reported that scientists at Sechenov University Clinical Research Center were at the time past the initial stage of human trials and that the vaccine is safe.

“The research has been completed and it proved that the vaccine is safe,” Yelena Smolyarchuk, the head of Sechenov University’s Clinical Research Center said.

The update on this development of the vaccine has since gone viral as people around the globe express their optimism towards the end of Coronavirus.
