The penetration of Nigeria, by the Coronavirus caused for alarm amongst Nigerians.
The virus which has been labeled as a global pandemic, caused for pandemonium in Nigerians on social media. Most citizens wanted to hear from the President, in order to know what is going on.
Well, the President has finally said something. President Muhammadu Buhari took to his Twitter page to address the people of Nigeria.
Over the last few days I have received extensive briefings on the state of the nation as it relates to the Covid-19 pandemic, from the relevant Federal Government agencies as well as the Lagos State Government.
Accordingly, I approved the following:

The immediate release of a 10 billion Naira grant to Lagos State, which remains the epicentre of the Covid-19 outbreak in Nigeria. This grant will enable Lagos increase its capacity to control and contain the outbreak, while also supporting other States with capacity-building.

In his tweet, he discussed about plans to tackle the virus, and how funds are being shared towards achieving this goal.
