The supreme leader of the global Catholic church, Pope Francis, on Wednesday accused the US President, Donald Trump of not being a Christian.
The Pope made these comments following Trump’s campaign promise of intensifying the deportation of immigrants as well as forcing Mexico to pay for a border wall.
Francis spoke when a reporter asked him (Pope) about the President on the papal airliner as he returned to Rome, Italy, after his six-day visit to Mexico.
“A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian,” he said.
The leader of the Catholic church passed these comments after presiding over a huge Mass in Mexico in the border city of Ciudad Juárez.
Upon being quizzed if he was going to influence Catholics in their voting choices, he replied negatively.
