The latest Akwasidae was celebrated in the United States of America by Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. The Asante people’s Akwasidae festival took place on Sunday, August 8, 2021.
This edition of Akwasidae coincided with the Asantehene’s visit to the United States. Nonetheless, Otumfuo sat in state to commemorate the auspicious day with the Asante community in the United States.
