The management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has shut down all the orientation camp nationwide as a preventive measure against the dreaded pandemic, corona virus.
NYSC has ordered that all orientation camps across Nigeria be shut as the program would be discontinued.
Corp members were directed to leave their various orientation camps as soon as possible.
This directive was issued from the NYSC headquarters in Abuja earlier today, Wednesday, March 18 2020. The corp members in the various camps currently are the 2020 Batch A Stream 1, across 37 centers in the country.
The statement from the management read;
“Corps members shall be posted to commence their primary assignments forthwith, while they shall be invited back to the orientation camps when the situation improves, just like it happened a few years ago when the nation was confronted by the Ebola virus threat.
“Management wishes to state that no corps member or camp official has contracted the virus,”
