Following the Electoral Commission‘s declaration of the election results in favour of incumbent President Akufo Addo, the opposition National Democratic Congress have come out to reject the results indicating that it was fictionalized.
As at now, flagbearer of the NDC and former President, John Mahama is doing everything possible to prove he was the real winner of the election.
As part of this, a lot of NDC supporters have taken to the streets this week to protest against the results. These protests seems to have gained massive support from other NDC suporters in other parts of the world.
Some Ghanaians in Washington DC have protested the election results. Hoisting placards which read “We Voted Mahama”, these staunch supporters of the former president demand a revocation of the 2020 election results.
Amid the snow and cold weather, protesters gathered round amid the presence of police to demonstrate against what they believe was a flawed election and a scheme by the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission to declare President Akufo Addo the winner of the general election.
