ACP Kwesi Buah and the entire force at the Manhyia Divisional Police struck a pot of gold when a suspect mistook the Commander’s phone number for a contract killer’s.
The team managed to arrest the suspect together with his accomplice whose husband they attempted to murder.
Mavis Brepor, 32, who is married to David Gator, 52, connived with Patrick Asare, her lover to eliminate her husband with whom she has three kids.
Speaking with Bernard Avle on Citi Breakfast Show, ACP Kwesi Buah revealed that the suspects’ initial plan of poisoning Mr Gator with ground (powdered) bottle proved futile after careful thinking by Mavis.
“Mr Gator sometimes eats together with his children and wife,” the Commander told Bernard on the show.
Another plan was to hire the services of a contract killer from Sefwi or Nima which went sideways leading to their arrest.
ACP Kwesi Buah added that upon the arrest of Mavis, also known as Maadwoa, the police met the couple happily eating in their home. Mr Gator struggled to hold back his tears when the officers broke the news to him.
