Over a week ago, a three-month-old baby girl was raped by an unknown man who stole her from the mother at a village in Nasarawa State, Nigeria.
According to the baby’s mother, Maimuna Adam, she was fast asleep with the windows open to allow in fresh air.
Later in the night when she woke up, her infant who was supposed to be sleeping beside her was missing.
She raised alarm and the neighbours showed up and began a search for the baby.
The baby was found abandoned in an incomplete building with her clothes off.
Blood stains were also found around her private parts.
She was rushed to the hospital where she received surgical treatment.
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has since arrested the suspect.
“After thorough intelligence gathering and investigation, the Nasarawa State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps arrested a man Tuesday accused of raping a three-month-old baby in Adogi Village of Nasarawa State,” the agency tweeted.
