A man who invited his Facebook friend over to his house just to end up robbing him of Ksh162,000 has been charged in court.
Felix Gordon Omondi along with his female accomplice Margaret Njeri Ndung’u have been charged with robbery and violence against Charles Macharia Mbuthia which happened on July 17, 2020.
According to the report, the alleged robbery happened within Omondi’s house in Hunter area.
Omondi is reported to have phoned two other accomplices who came around and accosted Mbuthia.
They allegedly collected his ATM cards and then forced him to give up his PIN for both banks and M-Pesa.
Afterwards, they transferred the money from the accounts into their personal accounts.
On different charges, Omondi and Njeri are being charged with drug trafficking after they were arrested and found to have six sachets and 10 pieces of weed cookies.
According to the source, the drugs that were recovered were estimated to have a street value of Sh2,600.
They are also alleged to have been smoking shisha despite the ban on the lifestyle about two years ago.
Both the accused persons denied the charges before the Makadara Law Courts and were denied bail but freed on a Ksh300,000 bond.
The hearing of this case will commence on October 13, 2020.
