According to reports, an official in Ghana’s presidential residence, Jubilee House, has been detained for reportedly indulging in illegal mining (galamsey).
Haruna Iddrisu, the Minority Leader, revealed this in an article published on Starrfm.com.gh. He identified Damoah as the Jubilee House officer who was chosen for suspected galamsey.
“We are following closely. Nobody should make an attempt to cover up what his doings have been relative to his engagement or involvement in galamsey,” he warned.
“He was picked up by the National Security and they are trying to cover up but we are following very closely. So, the President is fighting his own people and we are beginning to know them,” he added.
