I Had To Deny Being An Ewe To Avoid More Beatings – Arrested Journalist Caleb Kudah Breaks His Silence (Video)

“I had to mention that I come from Cape Coast in order to escape from further beatings. If I had confirmed that I am an Ewe, I would have received further beatings.”

Those were the words of embattled journalist Caleb Kudah, who was chosen by the National Security at the Citi FM precincts in Adabraka, Accra, on May 11, 2021, to film a security zone.

Caleb Kudah said he was beaten by one of the men after being sent to the National Security office in Accra with his colleague Zoe Abu-Baidoo.

In reality, he had to abandon his tribe because confirming it would have put him in a dangerous condition where the beatings would have doubled or he would have been seriously abused.

Caleb Kudah spoke on Citi TV’s Point Of View show last night, telling the host, Bernard Avle, about his ordeal and how his tribal inclination had to be condemned in order to save him from further beatings.
