Pep Guardiola has donated £920,000 (€1million) to help fight coronavirus in Spain.
The Man City manager is back in Barcelona while the pandemic has forced the Premier League, along with most other football across the globe, to suspend.
Guardiola was said to have been working with his lawyers over the last few days on how best to use the money.
It will go to a campaign being promoted by the Medical College of Barcelona and the Angel Soler Daniel Foundation.
Spain is one of the worst-hit countries in Europe with more than 2,696 people dead and nearly 40,000 infected.
The money will be used to help buy medical equipment and protective material for hospital staff in Catalonia.
In a statement, the Foundation said;
“Pep Guardiola has made a donation of one million euros to the Fundacio Angel Soler Daniel for the acquisition and supply of health equipment to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic,”
