Despite Media has dissociated itself from the GoFundMe donations in the name of its fallen Kwadwo Annor Wiafe who passed a couple of days ago.
This comes after the GoFundMe contribution went viral following the death of the MC and radio presenter with Neat FM with the intention of soliciting funds to from Ghanaians.
The name of the organizer was only given as “p o” on the GoFundMe site and has since raised an amount of £160 (GHC1,172.36).
OMGVoice.com also discovered that the donations had been deactivated possibly after its authenticity was challenged. A message on the site read, “This fundraiser is no longer accepting donations. If you are the organizer, beneficiary, team member, or donor …”
The word of caution was sent out by Peace FM’s Kwesi Aboagye who denied knowledge of the donations.
Although it was reported that he died of a short illness. the exact cause of his death is yet to be told by the company and family. Kwadwo Wiafi passed on at the Nyaho clinic today June 4th.
Kwadwo Wiafe alias “Your Favourite Mc’s Favourite MC” did his work wholeheartedly and had become a household name in the entertainment industry.
He was survived by a wife and three children.
