Even terrorists have to take a break from work due to coronavirus.
On Sunday, the Times of London received a copy of ISIS’s latest al-Naba newsletter.
In the letter, the organization instructs extremists not to travel to Europe even if they are feeling healthy. Also, any member that feels sick is not allowed to exit their area and return home.
“[The] healthy should not enter the land of the epidemic and the afflicted should not exit from it,” the newsletter orders.
It goes on to urge members to cover their mouths when yawning, coughing, or sneezing and to wash their hands regularly.
The newsletter contends that the coronavirus was a plague sent by God to torment people he’s not pleased with, stating that “illnesses do not strike by themselves but by the command and decree of God.”
ISIS still has strongholds in Iraq, where there have been 154 cases of COVID-19 and 11 deaths, and Syria. This pales in comparison to the way the outbreak has taken hold in Europe as well as Iran, the third-most affected nation thus far with 16,169 cases and 988 deaths.
Italy has morphed into the coronavirus’ epicenter. Nearly 28,000 Italians have tested positive for the virus, leading to over 2,150 deaths, the second-highest death toll outside of China’s 3,226. Also, as of Saturday, the virus has infected 5,753 in Spain. Worldwide, the coronavirus has been contracted by more than 190,900 people, leading to over 7,500 deaths.
