Africa is one very interesting continent, trust me.
So apparently, Chad owes Angola $100m from a 2017 debt and guess what they are going to use to settle it? cattle, yes you read that right. Cattle.
The unusual agreement is seen as creating a win-win situation for both nations – Chad is short of cash while Angola needs cattle.
According to the BBC, More than 1,000 cows arrived by ship in Angola’s capital, Luanda, as the first payment.
Chad “repaying $100m debt to Angola with cattle”. The first payment of more than 1,000 cows arrived by ship in Luanda. In all, Angola would receive 75,000 cattle over 10 years. This really warmed my heart #Cattlenomicshttps://t.co/o6zLQn6UXh
