CCTV Footage Of How National Security Operatives Stormed Citi FM To Arrest Journalist Pops Up (Video)

On Tuesday, a team of National Security agents stormed the Adabraka-based Citi FM/TV headquarters to arrest a journalist whom they say is an associate of Caleb Kudah, who has already been detained.

Seven heavily armed agents arrived on the scene in three cars to apprehend Zoe Abu-Baidoo, a journalist with the outfit.

Mr. Kudah, a broadcast journalist and the host of BackPage on Citi TV, was accused on Tuesday of filming at the Ministry of National Security’s car park, a supposedly restricted security zone, and sending the videos to Zoe via WhatsApp.

Once on the premises, the officers attempted to overpower Zoe, who was standing in the company’s parking lot at the time.

After detecting trouble when some of the officers attempted to apprehend her, Zoe Abu-Baidoo fled and announced the incident to her superiors. The incident astounded the workers, who had gathered in large numbers to see it.

Citi FM management, led by Chief Executive Officer Samuel Attah-Mensah, who was present at the time of the incident, intervened and, along with Zoe and other Citi FM/Citi TV managers, escorted the officers to the National Security Ministry.

Citi News Security Correspondent Anass Seidu, who was part of the entourage, said, “Caleb Kudah, who had met someone at the National Security, was detained after filming at the Ministry’s premises.” After he was apprehended, the operatives said that he had sent whatever footage he had captured to another associate, Zoe Abu-Baidoo.”

“They [then] moved to Citi FM with heavily armed men to arrest Zoe. When they got here, the management of Citi FM and Citi TV joined the team back to the National Security Ministry with Zoe. After some interrogation, Zoe was allowed to leave. Caleb Kudah was being interrogated at the time we left.”

“The information we have is that Caleb Kudah will be released soon,” he said.
