A group of health workers at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital have dedicated themselves to the fight of the deadly coronavirus.
The team made up of 9 doctors and 26 nurses have been put on standby to tackle any case that enters Ghana’s borders, YEN.com.gh can confirm.
The Ridge Hospital was named among the two hospitals earmarked to handle all cases of coronavirus in the country few days ago.
The hospital has since acquired the requisite protective equipment to help with the fight.
Medical doctor at the hospital, Dr. Emmanuel Srofenyo told media men present at the briefing that the hospital is ready to handle any case related to the virus.
“An emergency response team in the hospital has been activated and strengthened with additional members of staff. Currently, we have 26 nurses and 9 doctors on standby for deployment to the centre.”
He added that his men are well trained to handle the virus.
“We have security men and orderlies. And we have trained them on the physiological and pathological nature of the virus.”
