Two fuel tankers have exploded at Apremdo, a suburb of Takoradi.
The tankers according to reports, were awaiting instructions from the manager to discharge fuel into the reservoirs of the Apremdo-Apollo Total Filling Station.
Reports also indicate properties were lost as more than half a dozen shops were razed down by the inferno including the life of a two-year-old.
The Fire Service according to eyewitnesses got to the scene 20 minutes after the incidence. They battled the raging fire for more than an hour.
