Ghanaian media personality, Berla Mundi has asked a very important question. The question comes at a time when the prices of goods and services are skyrocketing with each passing day.
She made this question in a recent post she made on her verified social media handle on the popular social media platform, Twitter.
The question had to be with how people in Ghana who are receiving meager salaries between GHC 300 to GHC 500 are surviving in this harsh economy.
The post she made reads;
“So people who earn about ghc300-ghc500 a month, how do they survive in this economy?”

Here are some replies that will break your heart:
I make GHS650/month as a shop attendant,I stay with my parents & the trick is that I eat my mother's food in the morning before I go to work, then I use 5cedis for transport, I eat Gob3 or any food under 10 at work, then eat mum's food in the evening.
I save GHS200 every month.— Aᴄᴇ Rʙᴋ♠️ (@ace_rbk) June 16, 2022

Someone told me recently that his expatriate boss, who is the final to sign the payroll jokingly said all Ghanaians are thieves. Why? I.e He just can't fathom how the security man whose salary is below 500 cedis is always smiling around the office. He can't think far!
