Sol Generation singer Bensoul is set to leave the music record label founded by Sauti Sol after five years under the group’s umbrella.
While making the announcement, Bensoul disclosed that his contract with Sol Generation is almost coming to an end, adding that he is currently in a position where he needs to be “independent and build his own empire.”
Bensoul compared his situation to that of a lion cub, noting that he is now ready to venture out on their own.
“When I compare my life to that of a lion in the jungle, when a male cub hits a certain age, they are chased away from the group to go and fend for themselves. It is my last days in Sol Generation because our contract is about to end,” said Bensoul in an interview with TukoExtra.
The singer expressed gratitude for being part of the award-winning Sol Generation group stating: “It’s a beautiful thing that we have been together and build such a beautiful empire and it’s also amazing that upcoming artists will find space to join Sol generation.”
Bensoul was among the first artists to be signed to the record label when it launched in 2019.
Bensoul was one of the initial artists to sign with the Sol Generation record label during its inception in 2019 and has since then been involved in numerous productions by Sol Generation, including “Extravaganza” and “Ukiwa Mbali.”
