This iPhone Texting Trick Is Blowing People’s Minds

People are being seriously blown away by this iPhone texting trick.

A TikToker recently revealed the hack in a viral video on the platform, sending social media users into a frenzy.

The video clip saw Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing discovering โ€˜a pointless iPhone hackโ€™, whereby he sent the text message โ€˜pew pewโ€™ and was greeted with a surprise on his phone screen.

Laing took to the video-sharing platform to demonstrate the hack, saying: โ€œNew trick on the iPhone if you send a text message to someone on text message, look what happens, look at this!โ€

โ€œโ€˜Pew pew,โ€™โ€ he said as he typed in the phrase on his phone. โ€œYou ready? Send.โ€

After sending the text message, a flash of brightly coloured lasers shot out of the message bubble, causing the Candy Kittens founder to exclaim: โ€œI know, what?โ€

How to do the secret iPhone texting trick:

  1. First of all, this hack only works with iPhone users. Sorry,ย Android-lovers.
  2. Then, you want to head to your โ€˜Messagesโ€™ app. This hack wonโ€™t work over atย WhatsAppย orย Facebook Messenger, unfortunately.
  3. Type in the phrase โ€˜pew pewโ€™ into the โ€˜text messageโ€™ box. You can cap it up or keep it lower case, it doesnโ€™t matter.
  4. Press โ€˜sendโ€™ and watch those laser colours go flying!
  5. If youโ€™ve got your volume up and turned โ€˜Silent mode offโ€™, youโ€™ll also be greeted with a sound effect that is reminiscent of aย Star Warsย lightsaber. Pretty cool, huh?
